The Satilla R.E.M.C. Foundation Makes Presentations to Area Colleges

The Board of Directors of the Satilla REMC Foundation recently funded scholarship donations to Coastal Pines Technical College in Waycross and Wiregrass Technical College in Douglas.

The Satilla REMC Foundation receives its funding from the contributions of Satilla Members participating in the Smart Change Program. The program allows Satilla REMC members to round up their bills to the next even dollar, with the rounded up change going into the Foundation. Participating Satilla REMC members contribute an average of $1 1.88 annually per account.

Romeo Reyes, President/CEO of Satilla REMC, commented, "The Satilla REMC Smart Change Participants are to be commended for these educational endeavors. Their investments to the educational futures of our students truly makes us "A People/Power Partnership!" Reyes added, "We look forward to the progress we will make together, as a group of Satilla REMC members and educators."
